In this paper I look at how new media techniques could contribute to the authoring of ethnographies in anthropology courses. Immersive, navigable ethnographies make new imaginative worlds and political configurations possible. I argue that anthropologists should challenge logocentric discourses not only through our theories and our rhetoric, but also through our modes of representation as well. After briefly reviewing some key aspects and metaphors associated with new media, I offer examples of how we use the Korsakow hypermedia software package in my course on new media ethnography
