Some time ago, in Tuolumne Meadows at the upper end of Yosemite Valley, an anthropologist was sitting down to his campfire at the end of a long day of hiking and fishing. He had caught a few trout and was cooking them when a bear walked up and sat down beside him. Since this is a fable bears are allowed to talk, and the two struck up a conversation.
