Tobie Meyer-Fong As Late Imperial China and The Society for Qing Studies approach their shared fiftieth birthday, eight new associate editors are joining Janet Theiss on the masthead. They are (in alphabetical order) Michael Chang, Maram Epstein, Qitao Guo, Dorothy Ko, Steven B. Miles, Matthew Mosca, Carla Nappi, and Yi-Li Wu. Bruce Tindall and Megan Zeller continue in their critical roles as copy editor and production editor respectively. Ke Ren has signed on as our new glossary editor, replacing Liman Lievens who retired in July. I am grateful for the enthusiasm, collegiality, and good cheer introduced by my colleagues. The editorial team is currently conspiring to bring new ideas and features to the journal, the society, and the website. Readers can expect a scholarly celebration of the journal in the form of a panel at the Association for Asian Studies meeting in March 2015. At fifty, we may (like Confucius) aspire to know the will of heaven—and we will gather to raise a glass to the achievements of our predecessors and consider the future of our field. I look forward to seeing many of you there! Copyright © 2014 Society for Qing Studies and The Johns Hopkins University Press
