Carlos Walter is a global/local thinker who, through decolonial thought, critical geography, and the political ecology of Abya Yala/Latin America, makes essential contributions to understanding the main conflicts, problems, and civilizational challenges of the present and building a viable and dignified future. His work proposes a global/local analysis of territorial conflicts across the globe, using the analytical triad «territory-territoriality-territorialization» to understand the tensions between global Souths and Norths, their coloniality, and their r-existences
