Feminismo. Años veinte. Vestimenta. Poesía. Abstract: This study analyzes the poetics of clothing in works of Concha Méndez (1898-1986). In her first three books, Inquietudes (1926), Surtidor (1929), and Canciones de mar y tierra (1930), the manipulation of the imaginary of clothing strengthens the expression of the theme of gender. A synthesis of theories of clothing and of the historic relationship of women to clothes contextualizes the analysis. Méndez ascribes meaning, both lighthearted and profound, to different categories of clothing: dream dresses, bathing suits, accessories, winter sports wear, and the uniform. On the one hand, the poetics of clothing vindicates traditional female practices, and on the other, reformulates gender, imagining women as independent subjects in control of their own bodies and lives. Keywords: Concha Méndez. Feminism. 1920s. Clothing. Poetry
