Theatre is a complex act of communication which influences and determines the processes of staging and enacting. In this paper we analyze the nature and characteristics of the various communication processes that any theatre event always generates, and we also consider the agents involved in them, as any act of staging has eventually a pragmatic dimension, which can decide the success or failure of a play. At the same time we state theatre communication as a relevant field of research
