El propósito de este artículo es presentar y explicar sin demasiados ambages estadísticos y a través de distintos ejemplos, unos reales y otros simulados, la lógica de esta técnica de análisis multivariado. Con este fin, se expondrá el análisis de segmentación a través de uno de sus algoritmos basado en el estadístico indicado cuando la variable dependiente es de tipo nominal. Se procederá a explicar los pasos lógicos de esta técnica: reducción de categorías, selección de pronosticadores y detención de la segmentación.The purpose of this article is to present and explain without too bluntly statistical and through various examples, some real and some simulated, the logic of this multivariate analysis technique. To this end, I will provide segmentation analysis through one of their algorithms based on the statistic indicated when the dependent variable is the nominal rate. They proceed to explain the logical steps of this technique: reduction categories, selection of forecasters and detention of segmentation
