It was found that participants were highly stigmatized due to substance use disorders. It was found that those living in nuclear families, workers and those working in the private sector, those who do not use alcohol, and those who do not have a substance use disorder in their social environment stigmatize individuals with substance use disorders more. In order to reduce social stigmatization associated with substance use disorders, it is recommended to give importance to education, provide supportive services, promote social acceptance, and implement appropriate policies and legal frameworks
