The current state of knowledge on the contribution of certain trace element balance disturbances (TEBD) to ecologically-induced human disorders has been reviewed in the article. Our own research on the TEBD effects on human reproductive function has been described in brief. The considered research has shown urgency of determination of not only the total biosubstrate content of chemical elements, but also of their concentrations’ correlations. The issue of introduction of “bioinorganic” diagnostics into common clinical and epidemiological practice, especially for ecologically problematic areas, has been discussed
