We have gathered in this article some testimonies about non-human beings, present in the Mayan cosmology, who inhabit the space of the city of Mérida today, in southeastern Mexico, in the state of Yucatan. We analyze these testimonies from the experiences of the Mayans in relation to the city. How the conflicts experienced in the urban space are treated. And how we can understand important aspects about the ethnic experience in an urban context marked by historical racism, violence and segregation
