Medical devices are a critical component of the health sector, and their users need to be accompanied by assurances of safety, quality, and benefit. The Indonesian Ministry of Health provided this guarantee by supervising distributors of medical devices. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Indonesian Ministry of Health's supervision of medical devices distributors in terms of human resources, equipment, and guidelines. The method used was descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach at the Ministry of Health. Data were collected from three informants using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. The results showed effectiveness in the supervision since the equipment facilitates work and the guidelines have become a reference for officers in performing their duties, even when the number of human resources is insufficient. However, additional officers are needed to make supervision more effective
