Mise au jour, en 1977-78, d'une tombe intacte dans le nord de la prov. de Hubei, contenant un jeu de 65 cloches, des vases rituels en bronze, des objets en bois laque, parures de jade, armes, instruments de musique, bambous inscrits. Les textes et inscriptions au nom de Zeng Hou Yi permettent une datation aux environs de 433 av. J.-C., debut de la periode des Royaumes Combattants. Informations historiques sur les Zhou orientaux (770-256 av. J.-C.) et le personnage officiel enterre dans cette tombe a 4 chambres contenant 21 cercueils de femmes.
