In December 1847 the British Museum bought from Asher in Berlin a copy of the pastoral play in five acts by Giovanni Battista Giraldi (known as ‘Cinthio’), entitled EGLE. The book has no imprint, and was catalogued as [Florence? 1550?]. The Short-title catalogue of Italian books 1465–1600 then expanded this imprint in 1958 to: [Bernardo Giunta? Florence, 1550?]
