Doctors in Gaul and in Germany and the divinities Asklepios/Aesculapius and Hygieia. This article examines the links existing between Asklepios/Aesculapius, Hygieia and practitioners in Gaul and Germania. Taking into account new elements, it is based on the examination of written sources, colyrium seals and decorated medical equipment. It emphasizes the existence, in many cases, of obvious connections between ophtalmology and these divinities. The conclusions offer a less restrictive view of the presence of Asklepios/Aesculapius and Hygieia in that part of the Antique world
