Hervé Leblond. A metrological research on medieval bastides plans. The medieval city foundations ex nihilo included the attribution of soles whose standard dimensions have often been recorded on the charters (« chartes de coutumes »). On contemporary surveys the boundaries of these allotments can still be detected, thus the value of the original measure unit can be rediscovered, sometimes with great accuracy, by statistical treatment. This study of some bastides of the Agenais has made it possible to reconstitute a 7 feet canne used in that country during th XIII century
