The Ande's indigenous world didn't pass directly from the apparent calm of the « long 17th century » to the countless and great outbursts of violence which distinguished the last decades of the 1 8th century. Yet, this evolution hasn't been studied, the more so as it's often difficult to discover it in so far as it's generally only visible through very meagre clues which, at the time, were neglected. This work analizes one of them, which came up in what would become later on the republic of Ecuador
