José Luis Cañizar Palacios, The burgarii from CTh. VII, 14, 1 : a complicated question of definition about the military organization of Hispania, DHA 34/2, 2008, 95-113. Abstract : In this article are addressed some questions about late Antiquity Hispania. We take into account the information given by the imperial Constitution of the Theodosian Code CTh. VII, 1, which focuses the attention on the troops called burgarii. We want to complement their definition using the information the Code gives, and draw some parallels with other dependents of the Roman Empire like those working in the textile manufactures or in the cursus publicus
