The aim of this article is to demonstrate that advocating for a fight against violence within fine dining in France can be analysed as an attempt at a symbolic revolution in the field of fine dining. As a starting point, this article examines the forms taken by violence in this sector and the various reactions elicited in relation to cooks’ dispositions, resources, and career paths, in order to show that this advocacy occurs on the margins of the occupation
