Collectivism is a cultural orientation that emphasizes the importance of conformity, loyalty, social harmony, and preserving in‐group integrity. The construct of collectivism has a long history in the social sciences. Collectivism and its counterpart construct, individualism, are widely employed by contemporary social scientists
