This is an accepted article with a DOI pre-assigned that is not yet published. The paper describes a recent phase of my postdoctoralresearch on early ecocriticism in which I address the finding of handwrittentraces and notes within the book collection of Chilean intellectual LuisOyarzún (1920-1972). Based on this finding, I discuss the archival becoming oftraces and marginalia and their inclusion as objects of study in the context ofliterary ecocritical practice.
