The last decade has seen the discovery of a large number of new sites of the Third Millennium B. C. E., both in the Caucasus and the regions adjacent thereto on the south. Study of these areas in terms of the history of culture has also advanced considerably. The culture known in our literature until recently as the Kuro-Araxes-Eneolithic, which was limited to the Southern Caucasus by its very name, today takes on new dimensions in the light of the latest data
