Objective This is a qualitative study that sought to understand the Semiotic Affective Fields and dynamics of black women self in situations of sexual violence perpetrated by an intimate partner. Method An idiographic case study was carried out with a woman who sought help at Welcoming Service for Women in Situations of Sexual Violence, located in Salvador (Bahia), through narrative interviews and access to sociodemographic data. Through the categorical-content analysis proposal, three thematic axes were followed: a) conceptions about being a black woman and intersectional crossings, b) ambivalences of the self and structural violence: impacts of racism and gender violence and c) movements of the self and resource support: paths to coping. Results It was identified that the semiotic tools in the creation of affective fields are cultural constructions, a reflection of a persisting colonialist framework. Conclusion The results show the importance of social and cognitive resources for developing the processes of transition and deconstruction in the promotion of new signs, generating approximations to a decolonial movement
