The late Magdalenian level of the Freydières cave has given an unrare fauna without arctic elements, where Ibex and Alpine Marmot are very numerous. Among the birds, Ptarmigan, Ring Ouzel, Chough and Alpine Chough are the most abundant. This fauna is contemporary with the Allerod oscillation
