Written Karamanli votives in the katholikon (main monastic church) complex of the monastery of Saint John Lampadistis in Kalopanagiotis village provide echoes of the pilgrimage of Asia Minor Christians through Cyprus during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. According to the preserved evidence, groups of Turkophone hajjis followed the mountainous routes of the Troodos range to reach the location of the relics of the healing local saint and pray for help and cure. They were welcomed and hosted by an active monastic community who nurtured their spiritual needs and guided their immersion into the locality’s sacred landscape and cultural traditions. The present essay addresses the writings of the Turkophone Orthodox Christians in the spatial and architectural context of the katholikon church aiming at a better understanding of the experience of visiting pilgrims. Moreover, framing these pilgrimage votives within the hierotopical topography of Lampadistis monastery and its surroundings can further shed light on the cultural networks that sustained the pilgrimage routes between Asia Minor, Cyprus and the Holy Land
