This study examined the lives of 55 female-headed Jewish one-parent families, who were primarily separated and divorced. The subjects had been active at some time with the Jewish Family and Child Service of Metropolitan Toronto, and volunteered to be interviewed in their own homes. The paper reports on the responses to open-ended questions, which were related primarily to selected aspects of living in a Jewish one-parent family. Implications for family life educators are included in this paper
