This study examines the cultural repercussions of population mobility and shifts in dominant power, particularly their impact on local languages, focusing specifically on the Amik Plain. This study, which examines the hegemony of Assyrian political power over the culture in northern Syria and the resulting transformation process reflected in traditional cultural elements, is based on philological and archaeological findings from Tayinat Höyük and surrounding centers. The primary sources for this analysis include philological and archaeological findings from Tell Tayinat and its surrounding centers. Tell Tayinat has served as a pioneering excavation site that sheds light on the Iron Age experienced by Amik plain and its vicinity from archaeological perspectives. Located immediately northwest of the Alalah archives in Tell Atchana, which belonged to the Kingdom of Mukiš/Alalah during the Middle and Late Bronze Age. The capital of the kingdom known as Patina in Assyrian records, Kunulua, was also situated at Tell Tayinat. Although limited data from Tayinat related to the Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age do not provide direct evidence of the Sea Peoples migration impacts, the archaeological and philological findings from the Middle Iron Age indicate significant political and cultural transformations. These changes are apparent in the predominant influence of Hittite and Luwian elements in hieroglyphic forms and language, among these influences, the Aramean influences that came to the region with migration also come to the fore
