In today’s fast-paced banking sector, the equilibrium between professional responsibilities and personal well-being has emerged as a critical determinant of employee retention and longevity. This study explores the intricate relationship between work-life balance and employee longevity in private sector banks of Western Uttar Pradesh, applying statistical tools grounded in actuarial models and survival analysis. Utilizing primary data collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed via SPSS, the research employs the Kaplan–Meier estimator and Cox Proportional Hazards model to assess how factors such as job stress, overtime, flexible work arrangements, and family time impact employee tenure. The findings reveal that poor work-life balance significantly accelerates employee attrition, while supportive policies positively correlate with prolonged service duration. This study not only offers valuable insights for HR policy formulation in banking institutions but also contributes to the growing body of literature emphasizing the actuarial dimensions of workforce sustainability
