The article presents the results of the study of the materials of the “cache” of the early Turkic Time on the Ak-Kaya Mount discovered near the Elo village of the Onguday district of the Altai Republic. The location of the cache indicates that the artifacts were placed in it secretly and blocked, but not buried. Disclosure of the niche occurred recently due to the washing away of soil due to natural and anthropogenic factors. The material is represented by an iron sword with a ring pommel and two iron stirrups. The uniqueness of the materials lies in the exceptionally good preservation of the artifacts and the “closedness” of the complex. This fact allows making detailed measurements of the main parameters of products without taking into account surface corrosion, which often greatly changes the proportions of iron objects. In addition, some technological features of artifact production are traced quite clearly and traces of their utilitarian and combat use are fixed. The joint finding of the sword and stirrups also makes it possible to correlate them in chronological, periodizational and cultural terms with each other. In the future, these observations will make it possible to clarify the features of the synchronous existence of armaments and combat ammunition in the military practice of the Turks
