This study aims to reveal the representation of the candidates of Indonesian Presidents in the on-line newspaper Sydney Morning Herald (SMH) in 2014. The method used in this study was the analysis of critical discourse with the help of linguistics corpus or Corpus-Assisted Critical Discourse Analysis. Corpusdriven and corpus-based approaches are used to assist in the selection of data sources, data collection, and identification of news topics that depict the candidates' figure. The linguistic techniques of the corpus used to analyze compilations of the corpus include the frequency, keywords, clusters, N-grams, collocations, and concordances. The critical analysis of the data reveals the representation of the two candidates and the types of discourse created by SMH. The representation of candidates for the 2014 Presidential Election is conducted by using the types of discourse backed by liberalism of the newspaper. From the representation of both candidates in the SMH e-paper, it shows the partisanship of the newspaper against one of the president candidates
