The aim of this research was to analyse the influence of sport in the acculturation process of the Ecuadorian population in the city of Madrid. The methodology was based on the Acculturation Model by Berry et al. and the Relative Acculturation Extended Model (TRAM) by Navas et al., and a questionnaire was used to collect data. The results demonstrate that the main acculturation strategy used by immigrants is integration, both in general and by area, such as in sport, and that sport has a minimal influence on acculturation strategies adopted by the Ecuadorian population in adapting to society in Madrid
