Schlagwörter: Sexueller Missbrauch, Re-Viktimisierung, Jugendhilfe, Stigmatisierung, soziales Umfeld ----- Stigma increases vulnerability, positive relationships are protective: sexual abuse in the developmental trajectories of adolescent girls in residential care. Abstract Stigmatizing reactions from others, in response to sexual abuse, and victim-blaming increase the vulnerability to revictimization. This is displayed for a particular group of female adolescents with both a history of sexual abuse and out-of-home residential care. The biographical dynamics of persisting “stigma careers” and the outgrowing out of stigma as “desistance”, as well as the mutual reinforcement of socialand abuse-related stigmatization are demonstrated. The study “Prevention of Re-Victimization of Sexually Abused Young Girls in Out-of-Home Care” (PRÄVIK), conducted in cooperation with the Sozialwissenschaftlichen FrauenForschungsInstitut (SOFFI) in Freiburg and the German Youth Institute (DJI) in Munich, provides standardized and qualitative data from surveys of the particular target group in 2015 and repeated in 2016.
