Nach dem Wahlsieg Mugabes im Mrz 1980 scheint vorerst ber die Richtung entschieden zu sein, in die sich das unabhngige Zimbabwe entwickeln wird -die Transformierung der von 4 % weier Bevlkerung dominierten Gesellschaft im Sinne des von der Patriotischen Front whrend des Brgerkrieges vertretenen Programms kann beginnen: "The destruction of colonialism and its institutions ; the attainment of genuine independence; and the demo cratization not only of the vote but all institutions and the way of life in Zimbabwe" (zit. nach Simson, S. 69).
