productive dynamics of the agrarian system of the municipality of Itaqui-RS.The work is a bibliographic review research.The research shows the duality in the agrarian system of the municipality of Itaqui, which is tied to the level of technology, access to land, access to credit and public policies.It is considered that in the case of oriziculture as well as extensive livestock the great challenge is to make the continuous growth of productivity compatible with sustainable practices that do not mean an aggression to the environment and the health of the population.In the case of family farming, public policies capable of creating favorable conditions for their social reproduction are needed, involving credit, rural extension, marketing and continuing education
