This chapter is a ‘how to’ of applying a mobilities framework to the study of literature. Constructing a multi-layered analysis involves selection of the right types of text and examples for analysis, and embedding the construction of the narrative via secondary material, such as interview articles. How can the researcher draw on concepts of im/mobilities to gain an understanding of the inventive textual responses of writers constructing unconventional stories within the well-known formats of popular culture? I use examples from the 2013 romance novel The Rosie Project, by Graeme Simsion, to demonstrate my literary-mobilities methodology
