This paper examines the evolving contours of youth nationalism in contemporary India, situating the discussion at the intersection of cultural identity, political engagement, social awareness, self-reliance, and personal well-being. Drawing on the scholarship of Vidyanivas Mishra and complementary theorists, it argues that today’s Indian youth occupies a complex ideological terrain: simultaneously rooted in tradition and alert to the demands of a globalizing world. The paper traces six thematic dimensions of this emergent nationalism — the reconceptualization of national identity, the negotiation between modernity and tradition, political participation, social consciousness, entrepreneurial self-reliance, and youth health — and reflects on the philosophical and ethical frameworks through which Indian civilization has historically addressed these tensions. It concludes by calling for an education in cultural inheritance that is dynamic rather than nostalgic, and that equips youth to build the nation from a foundation of indigenous wisdom and independent judgment
