Guidotti-Hernández University of Texas-Austin [email protected] Nicole M. Guidotti-Hernández is Associate Professor of American Studies and Mexican American and Latina/o Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. She was the Inaugural chair of the Department of Mexican American and Latina/o Studies and the founding director of the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship program from 2014-2016 at the University of Texas at Austin. She has published articles in RHR, Latino Studies, and Social Text. Her 2001 book published with Duke University Press, Unspeakable Violence: Reimagining U.S. and Mexican National Imaginaries, won the 2011-2012 MLA Book Award for Chicano/a and Latino/a Literary and Cultural Studies and was a finalist for the Berkshire Women's History First Book Prize. She is completing a book manuscript entitled Borderlands Masculinities: Abjection, Visuality and Attachment.
