In this article he explores the issue of Thomas More’s enduring appeal. Besides identifying a whole range of interests associated with More, Schulte Herbrüggen’s focuses on the manner of More’s death and he examines the nature of More’s martyrdom in terms of a prophetic witness against tyranny. A witness that continues to possess resonance for all times and locations in which tyrannies are manifested
