The author urges an end to denial and apathy on the part of psychotherapists regarding their role in preventing nuclear disaster and presents a vision of an international network of psychotherapists and other professionals joining together in a worldwide effort to teach the application of psychological insights and problem solving tools to the greatest political issue of our time. The view that therapists help to preserve the worst of the social status quo if they fail to work for social change is cited, and positive organizational and individual actions are presented
