Various documents relating to ethics in the European Association of Transactional Analysis (EATA) are described along with their importance to practitioners and clients. Both the strengths and weaknesses of the present codes are discussed, and two recent modifications to the EATA codes (1993a, 1993b) are presented. Continuous highlighting of the existence and importance of the ethics codes in the TA community is recommended.
