Bulimia (an individual's problem with binge eating), or bulimarexia (wherein one binges and purges, by various means), are distinct, definable entities, psychologically and medically. The article describes the major physiological problems arising with these behaviors, defines the associated somatic complaints, and discusses adjunct therapies for these problems while definitive psychotherapy occurs
