Educators are continually faced with the difficult task of assessing behavior and providing appropriate feedback to the learner. Evaluating performance in interpersonal encounters may be very tenuous unless a system for defining performance standards and providing feedback is established and maintained. TA concepts were employed to assist in the evaluation process of resident-physicians' behavior patterns as observed by faculty, residents, and staff of Akron's Family Practice Center
