Differences in semantics are responsible for many of the misunderstandings between psychotherapy and religion, and are often responsible for resistance in the religious client. Therapists have long recognized the importance of “speaking the client's language.”This paper identifies the ways in which redecision work can be reframed into biblical terminology for the religious client. It identifies parallels between therapeutic redecision, rescripting and biblical repentance; and between TA's principle of “scripting” and the biblical principle of sowing and reaping. It will also show how prayer, redecision work, Gestalt techniques and fantasy can be effectively combined to help the religious client
