In 2006, she headed the Center's project for developing the National Intelligence Strategy for Counterproliferaion 2006–2008. She is currently focused on helping the Center implement that plan. Dr. Canton previously worked for nearly two decades for the Central Intelligence Agency's Directorate of Intelligence as an analyst and manager. In 2005, she was a senior staff member on the President's Commission on the Intelligence Capabilities of the United States Regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction. She received her doctorate from the University of Southern California's School of International Relations.
