Using the methods of biomythography and emancipatory historioriography, we will illustrate the ways in which black and white women have wrestled with the contradictions that liminality poses for past, present, and future relations; we will analyze the situations that have caused black and white women to become imbricated in such an ideology, either as perpetrators or victims of such perpetration; and we will examine the ways in which black and white women have worked to deconstruct and dismantle such ideologies for the purpose of constructing a liberative ethic
