This study examines the ecological, social, philosophical, and theological implications of using biomass energy in Kalimantan Tengah. Biomass energy is seen as a renewable alternative to fossil fuels, but it faces challenges, such as inconsistent policies, environmental activists, and potential risks to the environment and communities. A comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach is essential to ensure that biomass energy contributes to sustainable development while addressing social and environmental issues. This research adheres to the principles of social justice and welfare outlined in the Bible. Robert Patannang Borrong’s eco-theology says that the use of natural resources should be based on sustainability and social justice. Hildegard of Bingen’s philosophy emphasizes a harmonious relationship between humanity and nature, and Arne Naess’ ecological and ecosophical thinking highlights the value of ecosystems. Achieving sustainable development and addressing social and environmental challenges requires a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach integrating various disciplines and perspectives
