Resumo
This study explores perceived support for innovation and suggested associated variables among faculty in the context of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Results showed that faculty perspectives on organizational support for innovation were affected by dispositional resistance toward change, empowerment, organizational trust, interpersonal conflict, and several demographic variables. Organizational trust and experience in terms of participation in innovative processes had major effects on support for innovation. The strategic significance of study findings are discussed.
