He is the author of The Path to European Union: From the Marshall Plan to the Common Market (Baton Rouge: Louisiana State University Press, 1962), and of the forthcoming Charles PS guy: The Decline of an Idealist. He is at present engaged in a study of the problems of national integration in Germany between 1870 and 1914.
