L'Academie des Sciences du Judaisme, fondee en 1919 a Berlin, est issue d'une conception de Rosenzweig, qui developpait l'idee d'une Academie pour reformer l'enseignement religieux juif par un apprentissage juif en vue d'une identite juive. Pour des questions historiques et en raison de la crise de l'Historicite en Allemagne, c'est la conception de Taubler, une science de l'histoire juive comme discipline universitaire, qui a ete realisee a Berlin. Un an plus tard, la Maison d'Enseignement juive libre a ete cree par Rosenzweig a Francfort
