The findings of surveys conducted by the Russian Center for Public Opinion Research (VTsIOM) as part of the monitoring of socioeconomic change in society are not sufficient to provide a systematic description of the attitudes of different groups of working people to the whole range of labor issues. However, such surveys do enable us to work out indices, make assessments, and form judgments that may be of considerable interest to specialists insofar as they supplement objective data from state statistics
