The increase in the rate of married women entering the labour market the past few decades, has led to the higher incidence of dual-earner families in society. As high demands are made on the commitment and time of working women, society may reason that the involvement of married women in the labour market could have a profound influence on the quality of these women's marital relationships. In the study on which this article is based, data was obtained on the correlation between the white working married woman's experience of marital integration and other family and work related variables. In this article the focus falls on the impact of biographical variables on the working married woman's experience of marital integration and occupational satisfaction
